Hi, I’m Wendy! I was drawn to Maria Montessori’s ideas after first observing a Montessori environment. I was amazed at the level of concentration and independent work displayed by the children. I quickly came to appreciate the uniqueness of the Montessori Method and to believe deeply in the difference that it can make in the lives of children.
I’m originally from Mexico, raised in California, and moved to the Twin Cities in 1999. I discovered my passion for early childhood education in 2009 and since then it’s been my goal to ensure that each student receives the highest quality education.
In my spare time, I love traveling, scrapbooking and exploring the outdoors with my husband Antonio, our daughters Emily and Brianna, and our three fur babies, Cofi, Conan and Rayo!

Hi, I’m Ross! I began working in education at Mandala in 2017. As a child, I attended a Montessori school and it was my favorite school experience by far! I began working at Mandala in order to provide those wonderful moments for others.
When I'm not at school I love to play music, mostly the guitar, bass, and drums these days though I play anything I can get a hold of. I usually play music for our Children's Houses once or twice a year, it's always a blast!
I also enjoy riding my bike, learning Spanish, camping, and traveling with my fiancé.

Hi, I’m Emma! I’m from Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. I love young children and worked in early childhood for over 6 years! I have a Bachelors of Science from St. Catherine University in early childhood education and my American Montessori Society primary teaching license.
What connects me to Montessori is the child lead pedagogy, beautiful materials, and mixed age learning community!
I currently live in Fridley with my partner Matt and our dogs, Trish and Frannie. We spend our weekends getting outdoors, looking at antique/thrift stores, and cooking in our home!

Hi, I’m Aimee! I live with my husband in South Minneapolis. I have been working in Montessori for two years after making a career change. I have also worked many years in children’s music education. I have always enjoyed working with children. When my husband shared his experience being in Montessori until the third grade, I knew I wanted to learn more!
I love that Montessori starts with concrete materials moving towards more abstract concepts as the child progresses. The sense of community in the mixed ages classroom gives children a sense of belonging while developing their independence. As a guide it is a gift to be able to meet each child where they are at and nurture their development! I received my Bachelor of Arts from the University of St. Thomas in Music Business and sang professionally for several years. I received my American Montessori Society Primary License from St. Catherine University.
My husband Tim and I enjoy living in our 100-year-old house and doing home improvement projects! In my free time I also like to run, sing, garden, cook, and travel.

He, I’m Jessica! I’m excited to share that I’ve recently started a new career as an Assistant Teacher with Mandala. During a recent career break, the role of a primary caregiver for four grandchildren allowed me to manage daily schedules, meals and educational activities. I look forward to supporting students and teachers at Mandala and helping every child reach their full potential.
During my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, walking, hiking, gardening and especially hanging out with my grandchildren!

Hi! I'm Victor! I was born in Mexico, but have been living here in Minneapolis ever since I was 4. Currently I am studying to become an ASL interpreter.
In the summer; my favorite season, I like to do several outdoor activities. I enjoy a good hike, explore nature, visit the several lakes Minneapolis has to offer, kayaking, and going on walks with my family’s dog. When I am not busy exploring the outdoors I am enjoying my favorite foods, tacos and watermelon!
